C. S. Lewis and the Modern World
Professor Howard, a distinguished Lewis scholar, introduces this lecture with frequent reference to Lewis’s short book, “The Abolition of Man.” From this he introduces the concept of the “tao”, by which he simply means the ultimate underlying truth. To this he relates the relativism of the modern world. This is well illustrated with poetry drawn from the Lewis’s book.
