One on One

Activities to help nurture faith.

Your mission for this month is to start a new family tradition of serving each other — without letting anyone know you are doing it! Have a family meeting to set up His Majesty’s Secret Service, with whatever passwords and procedures most appeal to YOU, and plan out your missions for the King of Kings. Talk with each other about the kind of acts of service that are most needed and/or most often overlooked in your family, and challenge each other to a contest of who can be the best “secret agent” over the next week.

At the next week’s meeting, discuss what “mission” each member of the family was on in service that week, and give out some kind of mutually selected honorary badge and how everyone felt about serving.

C.S. Lewis Institute

C.S. Lewis Institute, in the legacy of C.S. Lewis, works to develop wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ who will articulate, defend, share, and live their faith in personal and public life. Founded in 1976 by Dr. James Houston and James R. Hiskey, the Institute provides leading teachers who address important issues of the day from the perspective of Biblical orthodoxy, while also providing discipleship for individuals in small groups.
