Session 3: God’s Holiness
Hallowed be Your Name
Start Here
Watch the video Understanding Holiness.
In the Lord’s Prayer, we ask that God’s name be “hallowed.” This means that we are praying for God’s holiness and glory to be seen, and that people everywhere would honor and worship God as He is due. This week we will reflect together on God’s holiness and how Jesus is concerned with His Father’s holiness as well as with our own.
Read John 2:13-25.
Bible Study Method: Look, Learn, and Live
- Look: Read carefully and gather the facts from the text. Ask
questions like Who? What? Where? When? Why? and How? - Learn: What does the author intend to communicate? What are
the main messages of the passage? What have you learned? - Live: How can you apply what you’ve learned in this passage to
your everyday life? What steps is God calling you to take?
