Gerard Manley Hopkins
Gerard Manley Hopkins, (1844 – 1889) was an English poet and a Jesuit priest. Educated at Oxford, he also taught classics, Greek literature, composed music, and produced fine drawings, most of themes of nature. He died of typhoid fever before any of his poems were published.
