Year Two will build on Year One by providing additional insights and resources that will enable us to go deeper in order to run with endurance the race set before us and bear fruit for God. We will do this by exploring the holiness of God, the depth of our sin, and the hindrances to our spiritual growth (the world, the flesh and the devil). We will also discover how to appropriate God's grace more fully, be filled with the Holy Spirit, bear the fruit of the Spirit, resist the devil and engage the world for Christ in mission. This second year of the program then offers the opportunity to go "further up and further in" -- in the famous words of Aslan to the children C.S. Lewis's The Last Battle.

The program focuses on a different biblical theme each month, including:

1.  The Grace of God
2.  Knowing the Holiness of God
3.  Knowing the Depth of Our Sin
4.  Exploring the Seven Deadly Sins
5.  Justification and Sanctification
6.  The Indwelling Spirit and Authority in Spiritual Conflict
7.  Orientation Toward Mission & Dependent Prayer
8.  The Community of Believers
9.  Theological Integration and Disenculturation
10.  Integrity – Living the Truth

Schedule

Orientation: Mid-May/early June

First Lecture: Mid-June, 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Fall Retreat: Friday – Sunday, mid-September 2022 (You will need to take Friday off from work)
Note: You must attend the Fall Retreat in order to be accepted into the Program.

First Saturday of the month: October-June, 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Monthly Mentoring: September 2022 – June 2023
To be scheduled by you with your mentor at the date, time, and location of your choice.

Monthly Small Group Gathering: September 2022 – June 2023

A meeting with your small group for a meal, fellowship, prayer, and mutual accountability, which is to be scheduled by your small group at the date, time, and location of your choice.

Structure

All Fellows groups are organized by gender and age:

Young Professionals (ages 24-34)

Mid-Career Professionals (ages 35-55)

Senior Professionals (ages 56 +)

Cost

In order to remove barriers to participation, the C.S. Lewis Institute does not use a fixed tuition structure. However, the Institute incurs substantial expense in offering the program. Similar programs cost $2,500-$3,000. Instead, we ask Fellows to make the Institute one of the ministries (after the church) that he or she supports on a regular basis.

Notwithstanding the above, all Fellows must cover the cost of their participation in the weekend retreat. Fellows must pay for the books and materials required for the program, which will cost approximately $325 for the year (if purchased new).
