Board of Directors

Greg Jacob (Chairman) is a partner at the law firm of O'Melveny and Myers LLP, specializing in labor and employment law and in ERISA, which governs pension and health benefits. He also regularly advocates in court for abused children. He previously served as Counsel to Vice President Mike Pence; Solicitor of Labor, the third-ranking official at the U.S. Department of Labor; Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy, with a specialization in justice and immigration issues; and in the constitutional law shop at the U.S. Department of Justice. He has completed Years One and Two of the Fellows Program, and worships at Holy Trinity Church in Mclean, VA with his wife, Corie.


Chris T. Morris (Vice-Chairman)
is COO of Bonaventure, an alternative investment manager and real estate investment firm. Formerly he worked at MPact Partners, a strategy, operations and finance consulting firm. Jim Klinger (Treasurer)
, CPA, is a CSLI Fellow and former Mentor. The Chicago native holds degrees from Providence College and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and spent a year at Cambridge University. Jim and his wife, Mae, are members of One Voice Fellowship. They are the proud parents of two daughters.


Carl P. Wylie (Secretary)
 is retired after 37 years with the Department of the Treasury in Information Technology. In his career, he managed a data center, established a disaster recovery site and managed workstation and email support for the Office of the Secretary. He is a former Year Two C.S. Lewis Fellow, and has served for over 17 years as a mentor for C. S. Lewis Fellows. Carl has a B.S. in Mathematics from Auburn University and an M.S. in Information (Computer) Science from Georgia Tech.  He and his wife, Kareen, have two children and seven grandchildren and attend Fourth Presbyterian Church where he has served as an Elder.


Sandor Der
 is a C.S. Lewis Fellow and a Mentor. He has been an active member of the Falls Church Anglican for over 20 years. He has worked in the fields of data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, signal processing, and computational optimization, and taught courses in probability and information theory. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a long time resident of northern Virginia.


Tim Haynes
is a public affairs officer at DARPA and has a master’s degree in scientific writing from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a C.S. Lewis Fellow having completed both the Year 1 and Year 2 Fellows programs. He is married and has one son, and the family worships at Christ the King Anglican Church in Alexandria, VA.


Kristie Jackson
is a C.S. Lewis Fellow and has been involved in the ministry of CSLI since 2005. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Stetson University and a Juris Doctor degree from the George Mason University School of Law. Kristie is an author of numerous articles and the book, Sharp Sticks: Essays of Embarrassment and Reflections on Redemption. She and her husband, Will, are parents of three sons and reside in Juno Beach, Florida.


Kerry Knott
 served as the C.S. Lewis Institute President (May, 2010-December, 2014), and currently serves as a member of the Board. He served as Chairman of the Board of the C.S. Lewis Institute for 7 years, and was in the first CSLI Fellows class in 1999. Kerry has a long history of senior level government and corporate experience, working as Chief of Staff in Congress and as a senior executive at Comcast and Microsoft. Charisma LaFleur
is a Senior Product Architect at Akamai Technologies Inc. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Hebrew University and she also attended Capernwray Bible School in England. She is a C.S. Lewis Fellow and has completed Year 1, Year 2 and the Life, Faith, and Writings of C.S. Lewis programs. She is married to Jeff and has four children and they attend the Church of the Prince of Peace.


Arthur W. Lindsley (Emeritus)
is the Vice President of Theological Initiatives at the Institute for Faith, Work & Economics, where he oversees the development of a theology that integrates faith, work, and economics. He joined the C.S. Lewis Institute as President in 1987 and remains a Senior Fellow there. Prior to that, he was Director of Educational Ministries at the Ligonier Valley Study Center and Staff Specialist with the Coalition for Christian Outreach in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Richard Parker is currently the Vice President of External Affairs at Food for the Hungry, a non-profit working to end global poverty. He previously served as the Assistant Administrator for Legislative & Public Affairs at the U.S. Agency for International Development, Vice President of External Affairs at Project Concern International, and Communications Director for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. Under President George W. Bush, he served as Communications Director for the Peace Corps, and White House Liaison and Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Richard has a master’s degree in public policy from Regent University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from North Carolina State University. He and his wife, Mala, live in Alexandria and worship at the Falls Church Anglican.


Linda Wyatt
 received a B.A. from the University of Texas, Austin, and a Ph.D. in Virology from Baylor College of Medicine.  She retired after 35 years from the National Institutes of Health where she worked as a scientist in a laboratory working on virus vaccine delivery.  She has participated as a Year One and Year Two Fellow, as well as a Mentor, in the C.S. Lewis Fellows Program. She and her husband, Richard, have been active members of the Fourth Presbyterian Church of Bethesda, MD, and have four children and eight grandchildren.


Steve Yun
 practices law with his wife Jina in Annandale, Virginia. He is a graduate of University of Virginia and the George Washington School of Law. He is an active member of Open Door Presbyterian Church and is a C.S. Lewis Institute Fellow. He lives with his wife and his son in McLean, Virginia.
