In Jesus' Name, Amen
I speak little Spanish, so I felt totally lost in my first Spanish speaking worship service at least until the pastor prayed. Several times I recognized reference to Jesus, and when he closed his prayer in the "nombre" of "Jesu cristo Amen, " i understood completely.
Christians around the world conclude their prayers this way. But what does this phrase really mean? Is is just the equivalent spiritual of a ham radio operator singing of "with over and out, " a "10-4" wrap up to let God know we are finishing?. . .
