Preacher

A.B. Simpson, (1843 – 1919) was a Canadian preacher, theologian, author, and founder of The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), an evangelical protestant denomination with an emphasis on global evangelism. He was one of the most respected Christian figures in American evangelicalism. He published over 70 books, edited a weekly magazine for nearly 40 years, and wrote many gospel songs and poems. After graduating from Knox College in Toronto in 1865, Simpson accepted his first pastorate at Knox Church in Hamilton, one of Canada’s largest and most influential congregations. Some of his works include, A Larger Christian Life, The Life of Prayer and Christ in the Tabernacle.
